América de Cali S. A., best known as América de Cali or América, is a Colombian professional football club based in Cali. It competes in the Categoría Primera A, the top-flight league of Colombian football. The team plays its home games at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, one of the most important stadiums in the country. The club is one of the oldest in Colombia; its foundation dates from 1927 and has its origins in the América Football Club, which was founded in 1918. It is also one of the most successful Colombian clubs, both nationally and internationally, being considered one of the strongest and most consistent clubs in the country. América has won 15 league titles and a second division tournament title, in addition to reaching the final of four Copa Libertadores (including three in a row from 1985 to 1987). Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero
The Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero is a football stadium, also used for athletics, concerts, and rugby sevens, in Cali, Colombia. The stadium is named to honor the poet Pascual Guerrero. The stadium and the sports complex that surrounds it are one of the finest and most modern sports complexes in Latin America, and led to references of Cali as the "Sports Capital of America". The "Pascual", as Cali's inhabitants usually call the stadium, replaced the now defunct ''Estadio Galilea'' which was located in the Versailles neighbourhood, where the first national athletics competition was held in 1928. The Pascual is still an important venue for domestic and international sporting events. With renovations made for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia and additional suits and sky boxes, the stadium's capacity was reduced to 35,405 people. Club Social de Deportes Rangers is a Chilean football (soccer), football club based in the city of Talca. The club was founded November 2, 1902 and plays in the Chilean Primera División B, second level of the Chilean football system.
